Ever been delighted to see your advert in the latest newspaper and then caught that the crucial tag line is not present or your logo has been wrecked.</p>
<p>There is only one way to thwart this from happening and that is to use a style guide. Not only will a style guide aid you control the reproduction of your logo - it will also help you bolster your brand recognition – which many argue is one of the strongest selling tools.</p>
<p>We have placed the below steps together for you as a starting point.</p>
<p><strong>Step 1</strong> : Define the audience for your Style Guide. Is this for staff to put to work in-house or is this for suppliers and contractors to refer to?</p>
<p><strong>Step 2</strong> : Mark what your output uses are. This is important because you will want different logos and file formats for example, black and white publication adverts in comparison to vehicle graphics.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The most typical question heard when acquiring a new projector for the home, office, or classroom is: should I buy an LCD projector or a DLP projector? LCD, short for ‘liquid crystal device’ and DLP, short for ‘digital light processing’ are the two most popular projector imaging technologies. With so many brands and different types available, it can be challenging for customers to pick between these technologies. It comes down to the fact that LCD projectors provide better image quality and colour accuracy. The next part of this article will tell you why DLP projectors struggle with creating the same grade of image quality.</p>
<p>Imagine a set of blinds in your room on your bedroom window. By pulling a rod you can turn the shutters open or closed, according to whether you want to let light in or not. And such is exactly how an LCD projector behaves. Each pixel operates like its own shutter on a set of blinds to either pass light through or to block it. DLP on the other hand is created of millions of microscopic mirrors or ‘pixel elements’ as pros like to call them. Each pixel element operates to either reflect light or block it.</p>
<p>How the light source is processed from the time the projector is turned on to when the picture reaches your screen is extremely significant in regard to image quality, brightness and colour accuracy. LCD projectors shine white light from the lamp by cutting it into red, blue and green components, by three mirrors which send the coloured light to 3 separate LCD panels. The 3 LCD panels create the elements of the image by shining each pixel on and off. The pixels are then combined in a glass prism to create the projector image. A significant point to remember about LCD projectors is that all three colours are projected onto your projected surface all at the same time. The way a DLP projector works is very different and even how an image looks is not the same. With DLP, white light from the lamp is processed through a spinning colour wheel with transparent red, blue and green segments, at speeds up to 11,000 rpm/s. This way of forming an image requires a sequence of red, blue and green light. The millions of micro mirrors described above reflect the coloured light on the pixels to create the image elements. The elements of the image are cast in sequence on the screen, one colour at a time. The viewer&#8217;s vision will then draw each coloured element of the image into the total image. From LCD projectors, all colours are available all the time to offer top brightness and fantastic colour accuracy. In DLP, just one colour is available at a time, causing lower colour brightness and accuracy. Some DLP developers have added a white segment for the colour wheel to improve overall brightness, but this further degrades colour accuracy.</p>
<p>I see in forums all the time that DLP provides a higher contrast ratio and thus must be better. For those unaware, the contrast ratio is a measure of a display system defined as the ratio of the luminance of the brightest white to that of the darkest black that the technology is capable of. DLP projectors do offer high contrast specifications compared to the majority of LCD projectors. Initially, this appears to be a plus, however, in truth, the true black level is determined by the ambient light in the room in which the projector is used. Do not be fooled by contrast specifications on websites and in brochures.</p>
<p>When the content you wish to view has moving images, DLP projection technology also has image errors, or ‘artifacts’. The most commonplace artifact that a DLP projector forms with moving images is colour break up. Colour break up is to be expected in DLP systems because moving images change up between the time red, blue and green colours are projected. LCD projectors do not have this disadvantage because all colours are sent at the same time. DLP designers have formed 3DLP solutions using 3 chips to fix the colour break up problem, but the price tag of these projectors make them not practical for the large part of businesses and consumers.</p>
<p>Another point of difference between LCD and DLP is how they balance for the refractive qualities of light. Take yourself back to high school science, and recall when they taught you how different colours of light refract different amounts when projected through the same lens. The downfall with DLP projectors is that they have the one same panel for the same lens to project Red, Blue and Green. All 3 colours are not the same and refract light at different levels. Generally with a DLP projector, a superfluous yellow colour will appear above and some extra blue will appear below something as simple as a lone black line. During manufacturing LCD projectors can be set to remove these effects on the projected image, as each colour is processed on isolated LCD panels.</p>
<p>The sole actual buy point (excluding price) with buying a DLP projector is its smaller overall size and weight. However, this is only relevant with regard to transporting the device and must be traded off against the image superiority of LCD projectors. If the result of the picture quality is important to you, then the solution is simple. Take an LCD projector! LCD projectors will constantly show bright, colourful images with fewer image blips. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As the Dutch came to preeminence in sea power during the 17th century, the initial yacht was a pleasure craft used mostly by royalty and secondly by the burghers for the canals and the protected and unprotected waters of the Low Countries. Racing yachts was incidental, borne from private challenges. English yachting originated with King Charles II of England during his exile in the Low Countries. On his return to the English royalty in 1660, the city of Amsterdam presented him with a 20-metre (66-foot) leisure boat with a beam (maximum width) of 5.6 m (18 feet), which he then named Mary. Charles and his brother James, the duke of York (James II, sovereign 1685–88), ordered for other yachts and in 1662 raced two of them from the Thames, from Greenwich, to Gravesend, and returning, on a Â£100 bet. Yachting became popular with the rich and nobility, but after that point the fashion did not last.</p>
<p>The first yacht club in the British Isles, the Water Club, was started at about 1720 at Cork, Ire., as a cruising and unofficial coast guard group, and held great naval panoply and rigour. The closest thing to racing was the “chase,” when the “fleet” pursued a fictional enemy. The club endured, for the large part as a social club, until 1765, and in 1828, after merging with other societies, it became known as the Cork Yacht Club (later the Royal Cork Yacht Club).</p>
<p>Yacht racing was first seen in some stipulated fashion on the Thames around the mid-18th century. The duke of Cumberland funded the Cumberland Fleet for Thames racing in 1775. When George IV rose to monarchy in 1820, it came to be called the Fleet to His Majesty&#8217;s Coronation Sailing Society. The Thames Yacht Club seceded following a racing fight, to become the Royal Thames Yacht Club in 1830. The first English yacht club had been initiated at Cowes on the Isle of Wight in 1815, and royal patronage made the Solent - the strait between the mainland and the Isle of Wight - the continued site of British racing. The club at Cowes became the Royal Yachting Club, also at the rise of George IV. Every member was required to own boats of at least 20 tons (20,321 kg). Sailing races for large bids were held, and the club life was wonderful. Ultimately Royal Yachting Club boats grew in size to over 350 tons.</p>
<p>In North America, yachting started with the Dutch in New York in the 17th century and persisted when the English held control. Sailing was largely for leisure and rose to its epitome in George Crowinshield&#8217;s Cleopatra&#8217;s Barge (1815), which traveled on the Mediterranean Sea and established a minimum of luxury and elegance for the later yachts in that area from the late 19th century. The first enduring American yacht organisation, the Detroit Boat Club, was instigated in 1839. In 1844, John C. Stevens began the New York Yacht Club while on board his schooner Gimcrack.</p>
<p><strong>Kinds of sailboats<br /></strong>Early sailing yachts followed the lines of such naval craft as brigantines, schooners, and cutters from the 17th century through the second half of the 19th century. The design of sizeable yachts was first largely affected by the victory of America, which was designed by George Steers for a club headed by John C. Stevens, and it was the boat for which the America&#8217;s Cup (q.v.) had its namesake after its victory at Cowes in 1851. The first yachts were not designed and manufactured in a contemporary sense, with only a model used. Not until the second half of the 19th century did what was known as naval architecture come into being. Not until the 1920s did the application of the science of aerodynamics do for the structure of sails and rigging what it had earlier done for hulls.</p>
<p>Because almost all sailboats were individually manufactured, there came a requirement for handicapping boats before the one-design class boats were designed. Thus, a rating rule was created, which ended up in the International Rule, accepted in 1906 and edited in 1919. In the present day, one of the rapidly growing areas in the field of sailing is that of one-design class boats. All boats in a one-design class are built to single requirements in length, beam, sail area, and other elements (for an example of a two-person sailboat, see illustration). Racing those boats can be done on an even basis with no handicapping necessary. A prime example is the uniform International America&#8217;s Cup Class adopted for yachts in the 1992 America&#8217;s Cup race.</p>
<p>For the time that yachting belonged mostly for the aristocracy and the affluent, expense was no object, and the size of boats grew, in both length and weight. The ascendancy and popularity of smaller boats happened in the later half of the 19th century from the sailing of the Englishmen R.T. McMullen, a stockbroker, and E.F. Knight, a barrister and journalist. A voyage around the world (1895–98) led single-handedly by the naturalized American captain Joshua Slocum in the 11.3-metre Spray made plain the hardiness of smaller boats. Later in the 20th century, for the larger part after World War II, smaller racing and pleasure craft became commonplace, down to the dinghy, a favourite training boat, of 3.7 m. In the late 20th century, boats of less than 3 m were sailed single-handedly across the Atlantic Ocean.</p>
<p><strong>Kinds of power yachts<br /></strong>Following the decade 1840–50, when steam began to take the place of sail power in commercial boats, the steam engine, and later the internal-combustion engine, were used increasingly in pleasure craft. Bigger power yachts were developed to a high element, and long-distance cruising turned into a favourite pastime of the well off. The first power yachts were paddle-wheel boats; those then made way to boats powered by the completely submerged screw or propeller kind of propulsion. As in the case of naval and merchant craft, auxiliaries with both sail and power were the yacht standard for many years. By the later half of the 20th century, a lot of yachts were still auxiliaries, but the large part were solely power yachts with gasoline or diesel engines.</p>
<p>During the last decade of the 19th century there was a rise in the construction of more sizeable steam yachts. Notably within these was the Mayflower (1897) of 2,690 tons, containing triple-expansion engines, twin screws, and a compartmented iron hull, and was manned by a crew of at least 150. The Mayflower, commissioned by the United States Navy in 1898, was the official yacht of the president of the United States until 1929 and saw active service for World War II.</p>
<p>As larger and more reliable internal-combustion engines were produced, many bigger yachts were using them for power. The establishment of the diesel engine, employing heavy oil for fuel, progressed during World War I. From the decade following that, big power-yacht building grew, hitting a climax in the Orion (1930) at 3,097 tons. In that period the best auxiliary yacht constructed was the four-masted, steel, barque-rigged Sea Cloud (1931) of 2,323 tons.</p>
<p>The building of bigger power yachts declined in 1932, and the trend thereafter was for smaller, less pricey craft. Following World War II, a lot of small naval boats were sold to private owners for conversion to yachts. At the late 20th century, yachting had become a globally beloved activity enjoyed by thousands of yachtsmen individually sailing and maintaining their own small recreational craft. The amount of boats and sailors increased steadily, not only in the traditional places on the sea but also on inland waterways and lakes.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Taxes are differentiated by the effect they have on the placement of income and wealth. A proportional tax is a kind that impinges the same relative burden on every taxpayer—i.e., where tax liability and income grow in relative levels. A progressive tax is recognisable by a more than proportional growth in the tax burden in relation to the growth in income, and a regressive tax is characterizable by a less than proportional growth in the related onus. Therefore, progressive taxes are thought of as fighting a lack of equality in income distribution, while regressive taxes may have the result of increasing these inequalities.</p>
<p>The taxes that are usually believed to be progressive include individual income taxes and estate taxes. Income taxes that are categorically progressive, however, can become less so in the upper-income class—in particular if a taxpayer is allowed to reduce his tax base by claiming deductions or by excluding some certain income parts from his taxable income. Proportional tax rates when applied to lower-income groups can also be more progressive if exemptions of a personal nature are claimed.</p>
<p>Income measured over the period of a given year may not absolutely offer the most accurate measure of taxpaying status. For example, transitory growth in income can be saved, and within temporary declines in income a taxpayer could select to finance consumption by reducing savings. So, if taxation is regarded with “permanent income,” it will be less regressive (or more progressive) than if it is compared with annual income.</p>
<p>Sales taxes and excises (save luxuries) are mostly regressive, because the dissemination of own income consumed or spent on specific goods lowers as the rate of personal income is raised. Poll taxes (also termed head taxes), nominated as a set amount per capita, clearly are regressive.</p>
<p>It is not simple to term corporate income taxes and taxes on business as progressive, regressive, or proportionate, principally due to the lack of certainty regarding the ability of businesses to shift their tax expenses (see below Shifting and incidence). This difficulty of nominating who bears the tax burden lays fundamentally on whether a national or a subnational (that is, provincial or state) tax is being considered.</p>
<p>In analysing the economic effect of taxation, it is essential to differentiate between differing concepts of tax rates. The statutory rates are those nominated in the law; usually these are marginal rates, but for some cases they are median rates. Marginal income tax rates denote the fraction of incremental income taken by taxation when income increases by one dollar. Hence, if tax liability grows by 45 cents when income increases by one dollar, the marginal tax rate is 45 percent. Income tax legislature commonly contain graduated marginal rates—i.e., rates that increase as income increases. Careful analysis of marginal tax rates should review provisions other than the formal statutory rate structure. If, for example, a particular tax credit (reduction in tax) falls by 20 cents for each one-dollar growth in income, the marginal rate is 20 percentage points more than indicated within the statutory rates. Since marginal rates specify how after-tax income is changed in response to changes in before-tax income, they are the important ones for regarding incentive effects of taxation. It is even more difficult to realise the marginal effective tax rate to apply to income from business and capital, since it may rely on factors including the structure of depreciation allowances, the deductibility of interest, and the provisions for inflation adjustment. A basic economic theorem determines that the marginal effective tax rate in income from capital is nothing under a consumption-based tax.</p>
<p>Average income tax rates signify the part of total income that is demanded in taxation. The pattern of average rates is the one that is relevant for judging the distributional equity of taxation. Under a progressive income tax the average income tax rate increases with income. Average income tax rates generally grow with income, both because personal allowances are provided for the taxpayer and dependents and due to that marginal tax rates are graduated; on the other side of things, preferential treatment of income received mostly by high-income households can dwarf these effects, forcing regressivity, as displayed by average tax rates that decrease as income grows.</p>
